Today, I want to share something incredibly special to me—my son, Jack Corcoran, has embarked on his journey in college to study bricklaying! As a dad, I couldn’t be prouder. Watching him follow in our family’s footsteps is a reminder of the values that have shaped our lives and careers.
The construction industry is facing a continuous shortage of skilled workers, and it’s vital that we inspire and train the next generation of young men and women to step into this field. Despite the challenges, I truly believe that there is a bright future for anyone who chooses to pursue a trade. With the advancements in technology and techniques, the opportunities are limitless!
My grandfather always told me, “Get yourself a trade, son, and you’ll always be alright.” His words have echoed throughout my life, enabling me to become the construction professional I am today. I’m grateful for the foundation that my background has provided, and I hope to instill the same passion and dedication in Jack as he builds his future.
